NVC Lighting Sponsors Olympic Team
On March 20, 2012, NVC lighting held a signing ceremony of the cooperation partnership between NVC lighting and the sports federation and the Hong Kong, China, Macau, and Chinese Taipei Olympic committees. The London Olympic Games will mark the Chinese lighting brand’s international debut, and means that NVC Lighting’s internationalization process is speeding up.
According to the agreement, NVC, as a partner of the Hong Kong, China, Macau, and Chinese Taipei Olympic committees, will get the naming rights, official logo usage rights, pictures usage rights, and activity promotions rights.
Tan Qiwei, vice mayor of Chongqing; Peng Chong, Hong Kong Olympic Committee Secretary General; Zhu Fuhong, Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee Marketing Center COO; Jiang Lizhang, plenipotentiary of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Olympic Committee; Hu Jia, Chinese Athletes; and Wu Changjiang, NVC chairman, attended the signing ceremony.
The Hong Kong, Macao, Chinese Taipei Olympic team will join the London Olympic Games as a regional team. This agreement has special significance because it will advance the cause of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan sports development, and build the image of the Chinese lighting industry and NVC Lighting’s brand abroad.
Tan Qiwei, the vice mayor of Chongqing, warmly congratulated NVC on becoming a partner of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Chinese Taipei Olympic committees in the contract signing ceremony. He said, “[translation:] The Chongqing government has adopted many policies to encourage enterprises to explore overseas markets in recent years. As a leading enterprise of China Lighting, NVC Lighting has done a very good job in both enterprise and for society. I hope the NVC brand will soon become world famous.”
In 2008, NVC Lighting provided many high-quality lighting designs and products for the Beijing Olympic Games. In 2010, NVC was named official lighting product supplier for Guangzhou Asian Games. NVC also lighted the Soccer City stadium in South Africa, which hosted the 2010 FIFA World Cup. In 2011, NVC and the Olympic Council of Asia signed a lighting and service cooperation partnership. NVC is the only supplier of lighting for Tianjin East Asian games in 2013.
Wu Changjiang, NVC’s Chairman, said that NVC will develop rapidly in foreign markets after its great success in the Chinese market. NVC will exploit many opportunities at major international events to enhance the brand’s international influence. At present, NVC operates in more than 40 countries and regions in oversea markets.
