Lighting Urban Community International presents the LUCI City under Microscope events to enable participants to discover the lighting strategy of a member city over a 2-day period. They include field visits and technical conferences on permanent and temporary lighting projects. The second City under Microscope in 2012 will take place in the Finnish city of Jyvaskyla.
LUCI is a unique international network bringing together cities and lighting professionals engaged in using light as a major tool for urban, social and economic development, with a concern for sustainability and environmental issues. Created in 2002, LUCI is an organization of nearly 100 members, comprising around 63 cities covering four continents and 35 associated members (international companies, lighting designers and architects, universities, independent lighting professionals).
