Low Energy Designs Expands for the Future

Dorset-based firm Low Energy Designs are somewhat unusual, being a successful British company manufacturing their own high-technology products in the UK. With a strong track record of growth over the last 6 years, the business has relocated to the Sunrise Business Park in Blandford Forum to support its development. CEO Alan Parker stated, “Moving from our current base will allow us to focus on improving our production facilities and we hope enable us to offer more jobs to the local workforce.”

The company designs and manufactures both indoor and outdoor lighting systems, utilizing LED-only technology to create products exported across the world. Their products include control and monitoring via software on the LEDs. The company’s customer base that includes household names such as Merlin Entertainments, BOSCH, IKEA and LUSH, to name a few. Low Energy Designs also supplied lighting for the major sporting event of 2012 in London.

Whilst many companies are struggling with the effects of the recession, Low Energy Designs have seen year-on-year growth in their sales figures. According to Parker, “Being at the forefront of alternative energy solutions means we supply technically advanced and energy efficient products, but this has had to be combined with high levels of customer service to enable us to get to where we are now.” Another key element is the delivered long life of LED products, achieved through the company’s ongoing emphasis on high quality, which means guarantees of up to 5 years can be offered.
