Lighting Design Awards Winners Announced

Last night the UK’s 10th annual Lighting Design Awards took place at the London Hilton. More than 700 of the country’s leading lighting designers, manufacturers and architects gathered to celebrate another successful year in the industry.

Besides honoring all the Lighting Design Award winners, guests also enjoyed a nostalgic photo gallery, a charity casino, a giant Scalectrix track, interactive light art and of course a photo booth to capture moments from the night. The after-party entertainment carried on until 3am with a DJ and a packed dance floor.

Big winners on the night included Speirs & Major, who scooped the Design Practice of the Decade Award. It was also a successful night for Cinimod Studio after the practice won both the Special Projects category and the Small Retail Award. Michael Grubb of Sutton Vane Associates walked away with the coveted Lighting Designer of the Year Award.
