ForumLED Europe: The gateway to discover the latest innovations in the LED market
Entering its third year, ForumLED international congress and exhibition has established itself as the most important event dedicated to LED technology in Europe.
This event has, since its first opening in 2009, gathered participants from Asia, Europe and North America. Furthermore, it is already partnered with, among others ELC / CELMA, the european comission, LUCI association, CIE, Lighting Association, Yole Development and Cluster lumière.
Various guest speakers from public institutions and management of leading companies in the industry are invited to give insightful speeches at this important event. The conference will be addressing innovative concepts of LED technology breakthroughs, focusing on global market trends and supply chain integration.
The exhibition attracts the biggest manufacturers, producers and suppliers such as OSRAM, Philips, NICHIA, Arrow Electronics, Gaggione, Sharp, Seoul Semiconductor, Future Electronics, Tridonic, Harvard Engineering and more.
In addition, the congress coincides with la Fête des lumières (The Festival of Lights) where the city of Lyon expresses gratitude toward Mary, mother of Jesus on December 8 of each year. This uniquely Lyonnaise tradition dictates that every house place candles along the outsides of all the windows to produce a spectacular effect throughout the streets. The festival, which includes many other activities based on light, usually lasts 4 days, with the peak of activity occurring on the 8th. The two main focal points of activity are typically the Basilica of Fourvière which is lit up in different colours, and the Place des Terreaux, which hosts a different light show each year. It is certainly a spectacle not to be missed.
