Cooper & 3Form Shine at NeoCon
Cooper Lighting’s io Tile Gen II and French Curve, a pendant-style lighting fixture from LightArt by 3Form, were honored in the Decorative Lighting category of the 23rd Annual Best of NeoCon awards competition, earning Gold and Silver awards, respectively.
The Best of NeoCon competition, which honors new commercial interiors products, is sponsored by Contract Magazine, Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc., The International Interior Design Association (IIDA), The International Facility Management Association (IFMA), and McMorrowReport.com. Selected products represent 42 categories ranging from Architectural Products to Workplace Technologies. All winners are chosen from a jury of more than 40 designers, architects and facility managers who engage in the review and decision process.
Cooper Lighting, an industry leader committed to delivering innovative products and driving transformational technology in the lighting industry, earned the top honor in the Decorative Lighting category. The Tile Gen II adds unique lighting colors to modern indoor spaces, offering architects and designers an array of creative design opportunities along with the ability to achieve greater light control and reduce energy consumption.
Featuring Cooper Lighting’s patented optical waveguide LED technology, providing functional and directional illumination, the Tile Gen II is a luminous, clean, geometric form that can be surface-mounted, pendant-mounted or recessed into walls and ceilings. The technology produces a highly directed light output, enabling accurate ray angle control, spread and uniformity. An anodized aluminum frame, less than ¾ inches deep, houses LED linear strips that serve to edge light the optical waveguide acrylic, delivering maximum efficiency and the right amount of light in the specified direction with no hot spots or glare. The shallow housing enables the lighting fixture to be recessed into tight spaces.
“We are honored that our io LED products have once again been recognized by this long-running, well-respected awards program,” said Cooper Lighting President Mark Eubanks. “We are always striving to develop innovative, energy-saving products that meet the lighting needs of our customers while also delivering on aesthetics and performance.”
