B-K/TEKA Releases LIGHTWHERE Portfolio App

US lighting manufacturers B-K Lighting + TEKA Illumination announced the release of the new LIGHTWHERE app during the 2012 LIGHTFAIR International Trade Show and Convention in Las Vegas. This mobile application is available for MacOS devices such as the iPhone and iPad.

LIGHTWHERE is visual inspiration for the global lighting community. Through these interactive tools, LIGHTWHERE collaborators, including lighting designers, architects, consulting engineers, and manufacturers, can share recent project images through direct upload from the iPhone/iPad camera or photo gallery.

For those looking for inspiration, collaborators can search the directory to instantly find projects by category, series name or location. Search results are displayed via the device’s interactive map that routes you to the nearest displayed project.

LIGHTWHERE utilizes two main functions to showcase lighting projects around the world:

Upload: The LIGHTWHERE upload tool allows lighting professionals to share images taken from an iPhone/iPad camera or photo gallery. Users are encouraged to provide basic project information with each uploaded image including location, designer/architect and specified fixtures. All uploads require administrative approval before posting to the LIGHTWHERE server.

Search: The LIGHTWHERE search tool allows lighting professionals to locate photos and projects in a localized area. Search parameters include location, product category (such as flood lights, sign lights, etc.) and series name. Results are displayed via an in-application interactive map capable of routing you to the exact geo-location of the nearest displayed product.

LIGHTWHERE is currently available for free download through the App Store. To find out more, visit www.lightwhere.com
