Aurora Lighting Opens Digital Lighting Showroom
Aurora Lighting, the energy savings solutions provider, opened a new Digital Lighting Showroom at its manufacturing facility in DongGuan, China on Jan 9th 2012, coinciding with Chinese New Year celebrations with over 600 of its staff.
In 2011, Aurora made a major investment in refitting the Aurora Lighting Experience (or ALEX as it is known) at their Apex Park facility in Welwyn Garden City, UK: an innovative facility providing opportunities for conferencing, education, product testing, and demonstration. This newest demonstration center expands on the ALEX concepts.
Visitors are guided through a range of Aurora’s lighting technology products, surrounded by a light-sculpted ceiling, which mirrors the custom carpet design, all based upon a circuit board theme.
As part of Aurora’s continued investment in its expanding Asian infrastructure, this new facility showcases controls, lamps, and luminaires, featuring the latest Bluetooth lighting control systems with CTA capability. Aurora’s range of products that feature CTA include integrated lamps, integrated downlights, LED T8 Tubes, and LED Flat Panels.
CTA (color temperature adjustment) LED technology allows the user to create application-specific mood by altering the white light output of a luminaire, from cool (6400K) to warm (2700K). Control is provided through a dedicated CTA controller or Bluetooth-enabled tablet running the new Lighting Control App, which provides control of both brightness and color temperature. Most recently, a standard switch is able to alter the color temperature by simply turning on/off/on to cycle through three preset color temperatures. This makes the product applicable as a retrofit, as well.
