Adura Technologies Wins SF Business Times’ Tech & Innovation Award
Adura Technologies, a leading provider of wireless lighting controls and energy management systems, has won a San Francisco Business Times 2012 Tech and Innovation Award. Adura’s Wireless Lighting Control System garnered top honors in the Energy Efficiency, Management and Storage category.
Adura was one of nearly 200 companies nominated for the 2012 awards, the first to combine both technology and cleantech. “Adura has clearly made its mark as a cleantech leader in San Francisco,” said Mark Golan, CEO of Adura Technologies. “The recognition by the San Francisco Business Times of our standing among some of the most innovative companies in the world in the most forward-thinking, technologically creative city in the world means a lot.”
The paper wrote: “The San Francisco-based startup is one of the leading companies in the intelligent wireless lighting market — managing smart lighting for more than six million square feet of commercial and government property…. With millions in funding, a new product on the way and international expansion in its sights, Adura Technologies is poised for a bright future.”
In a winnowing process that took months, Business Times editors and reporters reviewed the nominations from almost 200 companies, selected a short list in each category and then presented the pared down list of nominees to judges to choose the winners and finalists. This is the second time that Adura has been recognized by the Business Times, having been named a finalist for the paper’s Green Business Awards in 2010.
